OPZuid project STIM-01040: Further development of the Cal series

Thanks to the OPZuid subsidy, Maastricht Instruments can now take the Cal series, a modular metabolism measurement system with variants such as Restical/Clinical, Sportical, Roomnical, and Microbiomnical, one step further. In collaboration with AIM B.V., Risto Regeltechniek B.V., VIL klimaattechniek, and Maastricht University, work is underway to further develop the Omnical to TRL 7. The focus here is on improving the technology that makes it possible to reliably measure energy requirements, with the aim of making indirect calorimetry widely available for healthcare, research, and clinical applications. In this way, we support personalized treatments that help prevent lifestyle diseases such as obesity.
