At AIM, we are actively committed to a better future - for people, the environment and society. Under the motto responsible production with an eye on tomorrow, we take concrete steps to reduce our ecological footprint and conduct business in a socially responsible manner.
Reducing carbon emissions and energy transition
AIM is implementing a long-term program aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and making our energy supply more sustainable. A key milestone in this effort is that we have been completely off gas for several years now. By investing in alternative, sustainable solutions at an early stage, we have significantly reduced our dependence on fossil fuels.
In this context, we have made significant investments in energy-efficient, fully electric HVAC systems and the further electrification of our vehicle fleet. The electricity we purchase comes entirely from renewable sources. In addition, we are working toward a situation in which we are largely self-sufficient in meeting our energy needs, including through the installation of solar panels on our premises.
Our progress in the area of sustainability is periodically assessed by independent organizations, including EcoVadis. This ensures transparency and enables us to continuously improve our ESG performance.
